Indicator applet

Would be great if Pogo had an indicator applet, so the window could be closed without closing the app. The indicator could have, for example, the following items: show/hide, play/pause, next, previous, quit. Maybe that could be an addon which can be activated from the preferences.

Other options would be a tray icon or integration with the sound-menu-indicator. What do you think? I guess a python indicator would be easy to implement.

I think you're right this would be a nice addition. To my mind
integration in the sound-menu-indicator is the way to go. This can be
implemented as a Pogo plugin. If anyone writes such a plugin, I will be
happy to include it in Pogo.

I don't know how to add integration in the sound-menu-indicator. Maybe until that is achieved, Pogo could use the plugin of Decibel which shows a tray icon.

I think it makes more sense to directly use the indicator, because the
tray is disappearing at least on Ubuntu...
