Can't remove the plank dock even after uninstalling it

im using Mint 21.1, and i installed plank but i didn't like it so i uninstalled it. The problem is that the dock doesn't want to go away, i tried reinstalling it and uninstalling it, removed EVERY file that had plank in the name, tried to remove the package (the remove command didn't work so i had to use purge) but nothing is working. Am i missing something obvious here? can i atleast hide it or just remove it altogether?
