Increase in zoom level

Asked by Joe Claridge

Hi,

I'm enjoying plank very much, it's a great piece of software. I'm just wondering whether I can increase the zoom amount for icons? I would like to have many small icons in the dock and then when I scroll over them, increase their size proportionately more than 200% Is this a possibility?

Thanks,
Joe Claridge

Yes, you are able to do that

First of all go to the terminal and type:

plank --preferences

You'll see 2 options at the end: Icon size and icon zoom, change those to whatever you wish and that's basically it.

Hope I helped you.

I'll add onto this and say that I'd like 300% zoom. How can I get 300% zoom? :)

I tried modifying it in the dconf settings, but plank seems to reject anything above 200. I notice the constant here:
https://git.launchpad.net/plank/tree/lib/DockPreferences.vala?id=43fe952ae5eede0a537b48e037daacf6c23a703a#n31
and here:

... I tried changing those and rebuilding, but there seems to be something I missed?

Can you help with this problem?
