my plank takes so much of space (almost 20% of screen) but there is no icons in extra spacd only we can sense the distorted space

Asked by Atul Sharma

hello,
please help me.

I have installed plank in my kali linux 2020.2 and whenever I run it from shell (Kali Terminal) using command that gives me warning like:

[WARN 19:36:53.522008] [TrashDockItem:35] GSettingsSchema 'org.gnome.nautilus.preferences' not found

[WARN 19:36:53.646395] Creating surface took WAY TOO LONG (40ms), enabled downscaling for this cache!

And when I run plank it starts and taken alomost 20% of the screen but it shows the icons correctly but I consume more space without any reason.

This cause distortion on the screen.

I am providing a link to the screenshot:

In this image you can clearly notice the effect of plank over the screen.

So kindly solve this problem as soon as possible.

Thanks and regards
