How do I change a docklet's icon?

Asked by najodleglejszy on 2016-07-21

I'm using Numix Circle icon theme and all of the icons I use on Plank are themed except docklets. I tried editing /home/najodleglejszy/.config/plank/dock1/launchers/desktop.dockitem so that it looks like that:

[PlankDockItemPreferences]
Launcher=docklet://desktop
Icon=/home/najodleglejszy/.config/plank/dock1/launchers/desktop.png

but the icon doesn't change (I made sure to put desktop.png in that location). what am I missing?

I'm running Linux Mint MATE 18.

The icon of the desktop docklet is currently hard coded and included in the library itself.
So currently it doesnt follow your icon-theme and neither can be tweaked.

that's a pity, hopefully it'll change some time in the future. thanks for the answer!

Can you help with this problem?
