Plank

No icon for WPS office programs

I am using WPS Office suites consisting of Writer, Spreadsheets and Presentation on Ubuntu Mate. Even when the programs are in the foreground, there is no corresponding icon on plank. I've not seen this peculiar behavior on any other program so far.

I have the same problem when using Linux Mint 18.1

I had the problem on Linux Mint 18.1 but the problem was the Planks version (0.11.2).

It was fixed in a newest version (see here https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/1646602)

My SOLUTION was:

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:ricotz/docky
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get upgrade
sudo apt-get install plank

With it you will install a newest Planks version (in my case 0.11.3) which doesn't have this problem.

I can now see all WPS Office icons!!

Thank you Juan Gómez Carrillo, your solution worked. However, I had to remove plank first, then I could install the latest version - somehow the upgrade did not work.
