Keep launcher in dock

Hi. I've read everything I can find here, and no help for my problem. I've installed Seamonkey from the Synaptic package manager. Right clicking on the Seamonkey icon in the dock won't give me an option to keep it in the dock. Is there some way to fix this? I do have the latest version of Seamonkey, installed from the repositories. I don't know why Plank won't let me keep Seamonkey in the dock. Any help will be appreciated. Thanks.

Mentioning the plank version in use is always welcome ;)

This look like more a "broken" seamonkey which windows are unmatchable.

Also there is no seamonkey package in Ubuntu/Trusty! So where is it coming from?

I added the repo:

deb http://downloads.sourceforge.net/project/ubuntuzilla/mozilla/apt all main

This is the official source.

"/usr/share/applications/seamonkey-mozilla-build.desktop" defines a different StartupWMClass as the acutal application sets.

So report this problem to the seamonkey devs or packagers to make them match (case-sensitive).

So you can fix it by changing it yourself to "StartupWMClass=Seamonkey" (in "/usr/share/applications/seamonkey-mozilla-build.desktop")
