Change left-click behaviour from task switching to launching another instance?

Hi,
is there a way to get plank to launch another instance of the program on left click?
Right now, it switches to the current open window of that launcher item. For example, I would like to launch several termial windows from plank, which is currently not possible.

Not without modifying the source and recompiling.

I'm not sure if you are aware, but you can launch another instance with *middle* click.

Thanks Robert Dyer, that solved my question.

I wasn't aware of that. Is there a documentation site that lists such things? Couldn't find one.
Also, using Ctrl+Left-click will open a new instance. Just in case your middle click is being dodgy.

Oh, that's also very helpful, especially on my laptop which doesn't have a middel-trackpad button!
