What would Wayland and Mir mean for Plank?

Can Plank be run in a Wayland and/or Mir display server? Can and will it be modified for use with them?

If there is a working environment we for sure will look into making it work with wayland. Although using xwayland might do the trick already. Feel free to file a bug and summon some steps/insights of what needs to be done if you are interested.
