GTK3

Asked by Jakub 'Livio' Rusinek

Is Plank going to be based off GTK3 and ready for GNOME3 along with its shell?

Currently GTK3 seems pretty cool toolkit, but GNOME3 misses a taskbar (because of developers' dumb decision) and it would be nice to see one working well without old dependencies like GTK2.

It would be lovely to see some progress going on, like GTK3 branch or some weekly news ;) .

FYI, there is a semi-official Gnome Shell Dock extension: http://www.omgubuntu.co.uk/2010/09/dock-extension-for-gnome-shell/.
