Pithos integration into upcoming Ubuntu 10.10 music menu
Asked by
Jamie Jones
Upcoming releases of Ubuntu (10.10 and forward) will include an enhanced music/audio menu with more than just the volume control. One of the purposes of this menu is to provide quick access to audio programs (such as ryhtmbox, banshee, etc). Does Pithos have an advanced enough API to allow for it's integration into this menu? Having to access the pithos app in order to skip, like, etc can be a bit burdensome, and this will be the "preferred Ubuntu" method at least for a while.
What sort of blueprint and changes will need to happen in Pithos-core to facilitate this update?
