When is update for Pipelight Ubuntu 16.10?

Asked by Christopher McCown

I am unable to install pipelight on 16.10. It appears as though there is only a version for 16.04 available. When do you expect a version for 16.10?

~$ sudo apt-get install --install-recommends pipelight-multi

Sorry to say but Pipelight has been discontinued. You can find all the information on the main site here: http://pipelight.net/

As Alfredo said, but it's unfortunate that Michael Müller didn't leave the old site up for a reference on how to get it installed manually (and his explanation of "screw you since my preferred browser supports proprietary EME out-of-the-box" is infuriating). It's also unfortunate that it's no longer possible for there to be binary distributions. I'm currently whipping together a README file for my Git fork so as to hopefully help out others who don't want to to mess with finding the correct update on the Wayback Machine. Maybe it can be merged into the main code.

Can you help with this problem?
