Skype Web Plugin

Asked by Albert J

Microsoft is testing Web-Skype Beta that has dissabled support for Linux (I guess its caused by competition with chromeos).

But, when you will use UA Spoofer - you can get access to application, but there is need to install "Skype Web Plugin" that is MSI package.

Is there possibility to install it with pipelight ?

Web Skype would be good option for 64bit linux users.

I just gave it a short try and the plugin does not install in Wine. The msi installer simply exists without any error message after setting the windows version to Windows 7. This would need some wine patches before we could add it to Pipelight.

I also do not see how this could help 64bit linux users? Wine needs a lot of 32 bit libraries to work since many 64 bit windows applications indirectly depend on 32 bit files. Moreover the 64 bit part of Wine is more buggy than the 32 bit part.
