Maxdome: Error at the end of videos

I use Pipelight mainly to watch videos on Madome.

Quite often at the end of a video I get the following error message:

"leider ist beim laden des videos ein fehler aufgetreten. Bitte versuche es erneut. Sollte der Fehler weiterhin auftreten, so kontaktiere bitte den Maxdome Kundenservice."

This should be a tiny problem at first glance, but actually, when I get this screen, very often my computer will shut down automatically due to an overheated graphics unit.

How should I tackle this problem?

Do you you run into the problem after the playback ended or just after some time of playing a video? I just seeked to the end of a movie and was not able to reproduce the problem. It is also possible that the issue is just related to the overheating. The GPU might behave weird in this situation causing the process to crash and you therefore get the described error message. I fear we can't do much about the overheating problem though. You need to check whether the cooling of your computer is sufficient or if you got too much dust into your fans.

Thank you for your answer.
It only happens precisely at the end of videos.
And I never experienced such a shutdown except for two situations:
1.) As described
2.) when I want to start the video behind http://goo.gl/YYK7iU the plugin will not stop buffering for minutes (approximated remaining time ca. 40 minutes) and finally shut down - I don't get this video started (do you need a screenshot? How can I add it then?).
Can you start this video?

I regularly wath TED-Talks, Youtube-videos and videos from the ZDF-and ARD-Mediathek.
The shutdown occur only on Maxdome and only when I get to see these two screens ( with this loop that shows that maxdome is busy). And at the surface I don't see dust at the vents. So I would wonder if the problem was my GPU alone.

The problem with the shutdowns seems to have ceased.
I don't know Whether this is due to a recent minor change of the Maxdome surface, or because I enlarged the main memory from 4 to 8G.
But I still get the error-message regularly exactly at the end of videos, and it is still causes the ventilator to run high.
