"sudo pipelight-plugin --update" crashes on Ubuntu 14.04 x64

Asked by WaltZ

I get this error when running the --update command:

Which distribution do you use? It seems like you do not use the default configuration of gpg. The following part does not appear in my output:

gpg: checking the trustdb
gpg: public key of ultimately trusted key 0F995895 not found
gpg: 3 marginal(s) needed, 1 complete(s) needed, PGP trust model
gpg: depth: 0 valid: 1 signed: 0 trust: 0-, 0q, 0n, 0m, 0f, 1u

Did you manually change the gpg settings?

Forget the question about the distribution, you wrote it in the title ;-)

Thanks Michael. I don't think I made any gpg changes. I'll dig around a bit.

I am having this problem in Debian Jessie 64 bit, with a fresh install. What exactly do I need to do with GPG to make this work? I can't get flash working at all because of this.

P.S. here's my cconsole log.

Script dependency-installer is already up-to-date.

P.P.S. I believe this to be a bug despite saying it's 'already up-to-date' because attempting to enable flash results in this when I start seamonkey:

If i may re-open this question:

Ubuntu 14.04.2 LTS
Linux xxxxxxx 3.13.0-61-generic #100-Ubuntu SMP Wed Jul 29 11:21:34 UTC 2015 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux

The other day, i performed my daily update/upgrade routine, and out of the blue, silverlight on firefox did not work. When i went to a silverlight site, i was presented with the "To view this content, please install Silverlight". When i press the "Click now to install" button, i am redirected to Mono/Moonlight page, with a disclaimer that Moonlight is now not actively developed.

I then try to update pipelight, and i see the same issue as the reader above
