Pipelight flash failed

Asked by kkk

Trying to run flash on firefox. Followed the instructions on pipelight website and got javascript and user agent overrider to work by following some topics from this website. I am a beginner and trying to get flash working in firefox.

User agent (Javascript)
Checking for Windows user agent ...okay
Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:29.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/29.0
Please note: not every user agent works on every site, try multiple ones if something doesn't work!

The regKey is set, but you need to manually check if the key exists
(regKey = @adobe.com/FlashPlayer)

Using latest Kubuntu.
Under Firefox addons i can see Pipelight error (flash)! 0.0
Error during initialization: pipelighterror-flash

UPDATE!
sudo apt-get remove flashplugin-installer uninstalled old flash player, flash is working but a little bit laggy. Any fix for that?

Hi,

it is not necessary to remove the linux flash player. Firefox will always choose the newest flash version which is the windows version.

For the performance issues, I would suggest taking a look at http://pipelight.net/cms/faqs/faq-most-common-problems.html under "3. Bad performance". Make sure that your 32 bit graphic driver files are installed and that pulseaudio works correctly.
