Hi,

the problem is that you're still using Ubuntu Oneiric (11.10). Each Ubuntu version is only supported for specific time, for the version you are using the support expired over a year ago, to be more precise in May 2013. It is generally not a good idea to keep using a version after the support has expired, since you will receive no further updates, not even for critical security issues.

We are using the official Launchpad buildservers to create all Pipelight packages, so we cannot build or release packages for such an old version anymore. If possible, I would suggest to switch to a newer supported distro (for example 12.04, the oldest still supported one). Then the installation should succeed without problems.

If you cannot update to a newer version of Ubuntu, the only alternative is to compile Pipelight + Wine-Compholio yourself - this would be very difficult though. Based on your apt-get output you will also have trouble installing a lot of other packages, which are required as dependencies.

Regards,
Sebastian

Thank you for your realy fast answer!

I use LinuxMint 12 with my very old PC (Dell Dimension 4600 from 2003).
I have now to see for an update or changing the machine.

Best regards,

Gilles-Henri Porret
