Hi,

I tried to integrate the google earth plugin into Pipelight, but it seems like the installer does not work properly in Wine. The installer is unable to download the actual plugin and I was unable to find a direct link to it. An integration of the plugin in the near future is therefore unlikely. We need to fix some wine bugs before it makes sense to add it.

Hey,

I think this should be more than possible.

If you go through the normal installation process you'll find that all the "Installer" does is download and run the below (I used Wireshark to watch it download it)...

http://dl.google.com/dl/edgedl/earth/plugin/7.1.5.1557/GoogleEarth-Win-Plugin-7.1.5.1557.exe

This file works fine with wine and puts all the relevant files in the right places under "~/.wine/drive_c/Program Files (x86)/Google/Google Earth/plugin/"

Can we use this with pipelight now?

I have added the plugin as experimental plugin, but it doesn't work yet. It installs and also loads up in the browser but fails to display anything. The plugin gets stuck while loading and just displays a progress icon, which is most probably caused by some Wine bug.
