Not found by firefox or chromium.

Both browsers have been restarted, numerous times.

Neither browser shows anything in :plugins. All other plugins are shown.

Hi,

I assume you're using Chromium version >= 35, is this right? This new version unfortunately dropped NPAPI support, so its not possible to use Pipelight in this browser. Chromium only continues to support Pepperflash and their own plugins, and will do the same step on Windows too soon.

For Firefox: Can you please check if there is some "Pipelight Error" entry somewhere in about:plugins? If you want to use Silverlight or Flash please take a look at the diagnostic page http://fds-team.de/pipelight to find out what is wrong with your installation.

Other steps that could probably help:

* Run "sudo pipelight-plugin --create-mozilla-plugins" which will force Firefox to reload the plugin. This is sometimes sufficient to fix the problem.

* Does it work when you enable the plugin only for your local user, by running "pipelight-plugin --enable ..." without sudo in front of it?

* You can also run "pipelight-plugin --system-check" to run some checks. Please upload the output to http://pastebin.com and give us the link.

Regards,
Sebastian

No, as stated above:
Chromium : Version 34.0.1847.137 Mageia.Org 4

Neither about:plugins or chrome:plugins list anything re: silverlight or pipelight.

pipelight-plugin --create-mozilla-plugins
has been run several times. No effect.

It does not work run either as root or user.

 http://pastebin.com
Shows failure at all levels ( for silverlight 5.1 ).

pipelight-plugin --system-check
ERROR: Unknown argument --system-check.

Hi,

sorry, seems like I didn't pay enough attention at the version number (as this problem with Chrome/Chromium is very common).

It seems like you're not using the latest version 0.2.7 of Pipelight which was released recently. At first I would suggest to upgrade to this one. Afterwards please try again to run again "pipelight-plugin --system-check", and upload the result to pastebin (post the link here).

It would probably also be useful to attach the result for the diagnostic page ( http://fds-team.de/pipelight ), too.

Please also check the output of the following commands and write it in your answer:

sudo pipelight-plugin --list-enabled
pipelight-plugin --list-enabled

Regards,
Sebastian

Removed and reinstalled:

Now using ver 2.7

running --system-check:

All seems well except for 2 missing libs and a wine error:

wine: cannot find L"C:\\windows\\system32\\winemenubuilder.exe"
err:wineboot:ProcessRunKeys Error running cmd L"C:\\windows\\system32\\winemenubuilder.exe -a -r" (2)

libcapi20.so.3: missing
libnetapi.so: missing

Silverlight is now functioning properly. At present this is the only plugin needed/wanted.

If the above errors need correcting, please, let me know.

Other wise I will consider this closed with heart felt thanks.
