Viewright Webplayer possible with Pipelight?

Hi Sander,

we already though about including the Viewright plugin for TDC, but I didn't find any public website to test the plugin. It is not sufficient to just install the plugin, but it is also requires to do some manual steps to make it work with Pipelight and I therefore would like to test the plugin before we include it into an official pipelight release. Anyway, I couldn't find any website which allows to test the plugin and since no one of our team lives in Denmark, we also can not test it directly with TDC. If you can provide us with a public test link it is mot probably just a matter of some minutes to add it.

Ah, good point: in my case it's also a non-public website, but a website hosted by my 3-play provider for which you need 1) to come from the provider's IP address and 2) to have a personal login.

I'll contact you directly to see what's possible.

I installed fresh system ubuntu 12.04 64-bit today and viewright plugin is crashing. I don't know if it is a bug or it is my mistake. I'm not technically knowledgeable. Silverlight is working fine. Viewright is unlocked and than enabled. Than I started firefox. Viewright plugin started to download and install and everything went fine. But when I wanted to watch my cable tv that uses viewright plugin it crashed with message:

The program pluginloader.exe has encountered a serious problem and needs to close...
When I clicked on show more I got this: http://pastebin.com/1YQZiYmc

I'm lost, don't know what to do next.

Could you please update ViewRight plugin, on my Ubuntut 14.04 it shows version 3.0.0. Because Blockbuster.dk (TDC product) is requiring v.3.6.0

Pipelight uses ViewRight 3.5.0 from https://www.caiway.nl/downloads/ViewRightWebInstaller-3.5.0.0_CaiW.msi and not 3.0.0.

We don't have access to this website for testing and if the following commands do not work

wget https://blockbuster.dk/downloads/ViewRight_3.6.0.0-signed.msi
WINEPREFIX=~/.wine-pipelight /opt/wine-staging/bin/wine msiexec /i ViewRight_3.6.0.0-signed.msi

there is not much we can do.
