PDN support in Pinta 1 (via addin) but not in Pinta 2

Is there any plan for, or evan a timeline for planned introduction of addins in Pinta again?

If not, is there any plan, or even a timeline, for planned import function of PDN files? I have shared at least two different open source libraries/source codes that are able to read files saved in the lates PDN file format.

Yes, addins are already re-implemented in the master branch, for Pinta 2.2
