Toolbar icons in a dark theme

Asked by Radoslav Nenchovski

Can you tell me where in the system the icons for these 2 toolbars are located? I hate monochromic icons and I wanna change them.

The icons that are Pinta-specific (like all of the tools) are installed under <install prefix>/share/icons/hicolor/scalable/actions if you're on Linux. https://github.com/PintaProject/Pinta/tree/master/Pinta.Resources/icons/hicolor/scalable/actions is the full list of icons used throughout the app.
This follows the XDG icon guidelines so a custom icon theme should be able to override them

Some of the other icons are standard GTK icons, like 'document-new-symbolic'

I just saw that in the source code there are some colored png icons (Pinta-2.2-master/Pinta.Resources/Resources). How can I make the program use them, instead of the SVGs? There's no settings menu, at least none that I can find.

I think most of those are for when GTK displayed icons in menus, but they are not used in the UI toolbars

Can you help with this problem?
