ibrowser plugin or?

Asked by Dave

HI, thank you for a wonderful and easy to use application. When trying to insert images into an article I notice there is no preview area, nor does the image show in the post. Is this because of an older version of TinyMCE?
I have been trying to implement the ibrowser plugin for TinyMCE and I can get it to work - partially. The image will post into the editing box, however, when the article is viewed through shownews the image link is broken or incorrect. I'm not sure where or how it calls the link.

Perhaps this is something that can added? An upload option for images would be fantastic.
Thanks again for the application.
Dave

Hello,

Can you post your browser, version, OS, and a screenshot? It's hard to
deduce what's happening without much information.

Hey Alec,

I'm using Firefox 3.0 mainly. I have other browsers from IE, Opera, Safari, etc. for testing. I am using WinXP running XAMPP for localhost testing.
I'm not sure what to take a screenshot of ... how do I post a screen shot in launchpad?
I would be glad to give more information with some screenshots. Just need to figure out how to post them in here.

Alecwh,
Thanks for your help. (Determined that I have attached images via email.)

I have attached screen shots of what I am working with.
SS1: This is the add/insert image screen shot. Notice there is no image preview. I do put in the link and of course it will not show the image in the edit box but it will show the image in the post.
SS2: This is part of the ibrowser plugin - upload and insert image popup. I can insert an image from here into the editor field. Works great and you will notice an image in SS3. But, even though it is showing there, when I check the link on the image, it is incorrect and will post incorrectly as a missing image. This incorrect link will be show in SS4 - I clicked on the insert image button and the pop shows the invalid link. The link is suppose to be images/newsimages/filename.ext  However, it's placing the link as  ../images/newsimages/filename.ext

I am still trying to figure out my paths and I'm not sure if PHPNS is placing the link incorrectly or it's coded elsewhere (ibrowser).
If you need me to post any particular code I can do that also.

Thanks for your help and I hope that it is okay that I posted this particular problem with PHPNS.
Dave

Sorry for the delayed reply.

I didn't see any attached images on your reply; I don't think you can do
this with email. Try uploading the screenshots to imageshack.us.
