German Umlaute (öÖäÄüÜ)

Is it possible that Crud can't handle German Umlaute (öÖäÄüÜ)? If i use the functions isAlpha or isUpper? Is there a fix?

Kann es sein das Umlaute derzeit von Crud nicht unterstützt werden? Bzw. gibt es eine lösung das Überprüfungen mit Crud wie isAlpha, oder isUpper bei Umlauten keine Fehler anzeigen?

In the Example Plugin for example

when i create a "New Example" the first Field
"Example Name"

i can't use any German Umlaut. i get every time the same error message "This field cannot be empty and may not contain spaces"

when i delete all Umlaute it works..
