Slave broken after Percona 5.6 upgrade - something worng?

Asked by Austin Peter

Hi,

We were in a process of testing Percona 5.6 upgrade in our test environment but after upgrade (from percona 5.5), I could find that the slave is broken after the upgrade and slave status shows empty results. The steps we have followed is :

1) Stopped slave and Mysql
2) Uninstalled the 5.5 and installed the percona 5.6 using rpm
3) Started the Mysql and run the upgrade

Please advice if we did something wrong..

Thank you,
Austin

Please, provide more details in the related bug report, https://bugs.launchpad.net/percona-server/+bug/1156997.

1. What exact PS 5.5.x version you had used before 5.6?
2. Please, attach the entire error log content starting for last startup of 5.5 and until check that slave does not start.
3. Please, send also the output of:

ls -l <datadir>

and your my.cnf file content on slave.

Can you help with this problem?
