Blinker board symbols

Asked by Nikos Balkanas

The brinker board example is not clearly written, skipping a lot of steps and leading to confusing actions.

For example, after it creates 2 subdirs, it proceeds to create some files. Doesn't say in which of the 3 dirs it does so. It mentions a source package for powerjack.sym, but fails to give the URL for it. Had to download the pcb sources, just to discover that they were not the ones. Anyway, it took me a couple of hours to figure it out, but I am good now.

I now have all symbols in the ./symbols directory. How do i load them to PCB? I tried Window->Library, but found no new top-level element in there. It propably has to do smt with the .prj project file, which I loaded by File->Load Layout to no effect. This again is not explained :-(

TIA,
Nikos

I guess this is going nowhere. Even the developers have abandoned this project. Perfect example of opensource gone bad. Pitty it was a nice project :-(

Have a look at http://www.delorie.com/pcb/docs/gs/ under "symbols and footprints". :)
