Is it possible to assign my own shortcut to Play/Pause?

Asked by sebatoledo.a@gmail.com

Hi. I wanted to know if it is possible to configure another button to play and pause, because my computer does not have a "play" button enabled, which makes the application a bit useless. regards

First of all sorry for the late answer! I was not aware that I had to subscribe to Questions, so I was not emailed.

As to your question: Yes, you can assign any key or key combination to Play/Pause as described in the official GNOME help. There is a link to it in Parlatype's help pages, you can also find it online: https://help.gnome.org/users/gnome-help/stable/keyboard-shortcuts-set.html - section Sound and Media.

Basically you go to Settings/Keyboard from Ubuntu and scrolling down to Sound and Media, you can always change them to whatever you want. This will affect all audio applications, not just Parlatype.
