How to remove the password feedback?

Asked by Félix Brezo

I was wondering how to remove the recently added password feedback. I feel that this is a security issue that is relevant for those who have to share their computers, screens and do presentations and although I found instructions asking to me to use sudo visudo and remove the "Defaults pwfeedback" option I have checked that this is not active. How can I remove this feedback?

Hi!

This bugs me too, though I am the only user, I just don't like it, and here is how to fix it:

cd to /etc/sudoers.d/

Then you want to do this: sudo mv pwfeedback pwfeedback.disable

And that should disable it again.

Can you help with this problem?
