Language in login screen

Asked by Coeur Noir

Hello,

elementary freya (0.3) here.

My system setting for language is French.

I've applied it to system/login scren

My keyboard is french alternative.

So the system is almost everywhere* displayed in French - but not on the login screen which remains english (date format, and other words)

*description of keyboards / keyboards settings does not look translated

Any hint to have the login screen in french ?

Hi Coeur Noir,

Have u tried system setting language & region then a the bottum there is a button saying:
apply for login screen, guest account and new users click it and fill in admin password.
Then log out and greeter (log in screen) must show a different language.

Also when i changed my system language my login screen changed also.
So switching to english log out and in and back to franch log out and in will also work.

Oh yes I have tried many time the "apply for login screen, guest account and new users" button… That's how I get back my system in French.

But login screen is still in English (language and date-format).

I have this problem also. Login screen won't change into Finnish, it just shows everything in English.
