how to open files from home directory rather then last location

this is a very amazing os but i only feel that one thing i dont like
when we open files from launch pad it opens files from the last folder you visited ...rather on every other os it opened from home
please is there any fix for this ??

From the command line type:

gsettings set org.pantheon.files.preferences restore-tabs false

or to use a GUI, install dconf-editor, launch it and navigate to org.pantheon.files.preferences. There you can change this setting (and several others).
