Multiple file franfers with Pantheon Files

I have just tried this in Freya and I do get two or more progress bars showing in the popup "copying files" window. The file transfers have to take minimum length of time before this appears, though. e.g. try copying 100+ Mb files over USB2.

Which version of Files are you using?

I'm using Files 0.2.1

Just tried a 9.5 gig file and then started a 3.5 gig file a quarter of the way through the first one, the second one did not copy over or show the progress bar of it "being" copied over. When 9.5 gig fully finished then, i could start to copy over the second 3.5 gig file.

OK, I think I understand now. I was copying over two directories containing in many files - in that case the progress bars update to show how many of the files have been copied. However, if you are copying single large files then the progress bars do not update regularly to show what percentage of the single file has been transferred. I just tried this with another file manager (Thunar) and the same thing happened. You could file a bug report about this at https://bugs.launchpad.net/pantheon-files.
