Hi,

to show the recent files and folders in Pantheon-Files klick in the path-bar on the top and replace it's whole content with "recent://". Then it shows a big list of the recent used files.

Ugh… how unfriendly it is !

(not your answer, of course)

Any way to have that as a kind of shortcut in plank for example ?

That did not solve my "problem" because it's not quick enough, as proposed.

Then you could create a new .desktop-file in /usr/share/applications and use the following command:

pantheon-files -t recent://

As a more user-friendly way I recommand to use the menulibre menu-editor.

You can type recent:// in File path-bar, right click in an empty space around the files, and select 'Add to Favorites'.

Ok, now I have a "recent items" in the pantheon-files bookmarks.

It shows me recently used files, ok. But if I left-click on a .png file that tries to open it with …firefox ?

I've then tried a right-click on this .png file → this closed pantheon-file.

No problem with an .mp4 file…

And why those files in "recent" have a lock-emblem ?
