Menu "New - Create folder" inaccessible?

I'm using "View as List" mode in "Pantheon Files". When I navigate to folder with a lot of files, then I cannot create new folder.

If I navigate to folder with a few files, then I can right click on a "free space" and create new folder. But if there are lot of files, then there is no "free space", so I can't create new folder.

Is there any shortcut available to create new folder in such situation?

I'm facing the same issue, you need to go the thumbnail view to create directory, this is clearly not efficient.
