Pantheon Dock

how can i move the dock to the side (either left or right)?

My work environment has 16:9 aspect ratio monitors, so i've way more pixels horizontally than vertically. I would prefer to have the dock moved from the bottom to one of the sides, left would be fine but i guess other users would also like it on the right side.

I also work with Mac OS and there too i always move the dock from bellow to the left, but i can't seem to find a way to do that with the panteon dock.

You can set the position by editing ~/.config/plank/dock1/settings.
What you want here is Position=0 or Position=1
