panflute lyrics support

Asked by Francisco Castillo

Hi, First of all, you have done a great work with this program, congratulations!.
i have an idea, what if you could add karoke lyrics to panflute?, i mean, an option to show *.lrc lyrics (in the panel) in the same way the song info is displayed in panflute. Wouldn't it be great?
there is a faemus windows program called minilyrics that has a huge database of lrc lyrics files, a linux karaoke program called osdlyrics (http://code.google.com/p/osd-lyrics/) already succeeded implementing the minilyrics database, so with that base it should be possible to play minilyrics lrc files in panflute.
What do you think?

I don't think there are any players that expose any kind of karaoke interface to other programs. While it'd be technically possible to implement it entirely in the applet, I've shied away from implementing features separately from the backend players. Heck, Panflute doesn't bother trying to find album art if the player doesn't provide anything.

You can file a wishlist bug about this if you want, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Actually the only things you need is a lrc file and the play time from the player, since the time tags are in the file.
but if you don't want to bother that's ok.

Can you help with this problem?
