font text and export of files

Asked by Miguel Angel

Hello;

First of all, many thanks for the application, I have always wanted to be able to do this... but I never knew programming...

I wanted to ask you if there is anyway to be able to implement a tool that will let you choose the font size of the question or make the tests in full-screen mode, and as a suggestion, I think it would be very useful to be able to export common files choosing the ones you miss the most.

Again, Many Thanks!!!

- For the font size, we're already planning to implement something like that, however it'll not be in 3.0. Probably something like 3.1, though ( https://blueprints.launchpad.net/openteacher/+spec/associations-with-questions ).
- Comments by questions are there in 3.0 ( https://blueprints.launchpad.net/openteacher/+spec/questioncomments ).
- Full screen is a nice idea, and pretty easy to make. I'll convert that into a blueprint, probably for 3.1 or so.

What do you mean with 'I think it would be very useful to be able to export common files choosing the ones you miss the most.'?

Thanks for your ideas, keep them coming :)

Hi Marten;

I meant with exporting to common files to be able, once you have created
a file in openteacher, to export it for example to an .odf format of to
a calc document so you could print it also.

Another idea that I have had is the following, lets say you are writing
with a blackberry in a yield that it recognizes it and by itself puts
after a dot a first capital letter or in an email yield the @ symbol if
you press space bar twice. Here it comes, I think it would make it much
quicker the introduction of data if after the input of the foreign word
you press e.g. twice the space bar automatically enters the "=" symbol.

I do not know coding so please be kind with my suggestion, I do not not
if it is possible or not but maybe there is a way to code the following
when typing in the text box after an space if you press space enter "=",
that wouldn't hamper the introduction of the translation of data since
it follows transtlation1, translation2, translation3.

Another way of simplifying the introduction is creating like a calc type
of cells that you can enter the data easily and faster, like a table in
calc.

I love the application, so if in any way I can do something not related
to coding (since I have no clue) I am up to it.

Hope it helps.

Miguel Angel

On the files stuff: we're planning to do that, but it'll probably be after the 3.0. Printing has been much improved in 3.0, though already. (blueprint: https://blueprints.launchpad.net/openteacher/+spec/more-import-and-export-formats)

For the easier input: Is 'tab' good enough? In OpenTeacher 3.0 the way of inputting is calc-like (a table), you can now jump between cells via both a tab and the '=-sign'. pressing space twice might also be a possiblity, but I can imagine that there are situations where you actually need two spaces as data.

Thanks for your ideas again, for us feedback from users is very important!
