Network Configuration Help

Asked by Rahul Mani

I am trying to setup an all_in_one scenario. I have only interface to an Ubuntu machine which is unfortunately my management interface and my public access interface. Is there anyway i can setup using the installer and have a Public Network which has ip address from this same network?

Not in an automated fashion. During installaiton the public interface will get attached to the br-ex bridge, at which point you'll loose connectivity to the host, and puppet on the house will lose connectivity with the puppet-mater (aka build server). Post-install, you can acheive this by moving the IP address from the mgmt interface to br-ex itself, and then attaching the mgmt interface to the br-ex bridge. You'll need console access, or be very careful as to not lose connectivity.

When you say attach the mgmt interface to the br-ex bridge, do you mean set the environment variables and run the script again?

No, I mean after the control node has been configured, you manually change its networking.

Can you help with this problem?
