Openstack matrix community

Asked by Cristian Le

Currently only IRC channels on the OFTC network seem to be officially supported and advertised. And although it is possible to connect to those rooms via matrix there are several issues:
- Joining an OFTC bridged room from a non-matrix.org server can take 2-3 days at least.
- The matrix bridges are not advertised or organized. I have put together some of them at #openstack-space:matrix.org
- It seems that by its nature, IRC chats have no history, so it feels like talking to a void in these bridged rooms. In a matrix room, at least you have a history and good notifications/pings.

Ideally, if the community can build and advertise matrix rooms on `matrix.org` servers, and use built-in IRC bridge to the OFTC channels, that will solve all of the issues above. So can this issue be brought up at some openstack meeting?
