Multi-node FlatDHCP HA and multiple IP pools

Asked by Igor Hrcek

I'm planning to deploy OpenStack with FlatDHCP network. I have two compute nodes and this deploy will be done by using the latest version of Fuel (currently v6).

Compute nodes will serve as network nodes, so each one of them will have nova-network service up and running.
My question are:
1. If I have a pool of additional IP's on Compute1, can I assing a IP from that pool to the VM on the Compute2?
2. If (1) is no, does that mean that every Compute node must have it's own pool? Is there a way to overcome this issue?
3. What is going to happend if Compute1 network fails, will all of my VM's on Compute1 loose connectivity or the traffic is going to be redirected to Compute2?
4. Does live migration works in such setup? I have attached storage so instances will go there instead on local storage of compute nodes.

Thank you!
