Does it work with Raspberry Pi?

Asked by Daniel Wells

I am just curious is anyone has done any successful testing of OpenSplash on the Rapsberry Pi. I have seen reference to a company called Signage Live to some testing. But I can find any details of their results.

I am really interested in how well it performs and what all it can support.

Also as a side note, does OpenSplash support multicast video streams (specifically MPEG2 or MPEG4 and ACC over a Transport Stream)?

Daniel -

It should work but it will be slow as the X environment on the Pi is not
accelerated. I haven't tested it on the Pi, but it does run under Ubuntu.

OpenSplash can't support multicast streams out of the box, but support
could be added.

My company, Silver Curve, offers consultancy services to help you to extend
OpenSplash. I'd be happy to discuss your needs.
