there are some file named .VOB - .BUP - .IFO, i 've seen that the video file are the .VOB, but as I told before, there are just the 30% of video that are stored on and that I can see playng the dvd on dvd player.

where do I have to look for to understund wich are the file to import on Openshot?

I hope to have explained what I'm looking for.

Hello
I'm not sure than i have understand the question. The files than you must import for realize a DVD are the .vob files. If you want to know more Openshot see the manual here : http://www.openshotusers.com/ .
If you want to import your files on the Hard Drive, use this tool Shrinkta, simple and efficient with the DVD without protection. He is doing a exact copy of your files than you can work after without touching the original.
If it's about the imported files in Openshot, don't worry, it' s all which are supported by FFmpeg so for you it's not a problem.
Thanks

Hi, thank you for your answer and I apologize for my english :-(

I've installed Shrinka and I saw that it's able to copy entire DVD content in a .iso file that I can't import on OpenShot.
I didn't find the way to import just i single .VOB

I also installed FFmpeg (also if I didn't understand what is useful to) but I didn't find it on the menu, so I was unable to try it.

My prob remain to import a single .VOB to import the in OS.
If a made a simple copy from DVD, a have on the HD just a little movie of 20-30 seconds also if it is 10-20 min.

Hope to heve been more clear.

thank you again

Hi and sorry for Shrinkta. There is a moment than i have not used it and i was believing that he was creating an exact copy.( So you could use Vobcopy, it's a command line. And she is vobcopy -i /dev/hdc/ -m -o /home/renato/Videos
I hope that will be helpfull for you

Hi cenev,
nothing again :-(
I0ve installed vobcopy and typed your command line, but: I obtain the entire copy of the minidvd of course, but, if I import one .VOB in OpenShot, I have a chunk of 5 sec.
If I open the same chunk in VLC, it last about 20 min. :-( I'm 'despereted .

Hi
Difficult when we can not try to answer.
Just a thought: if it's a cdrom you can look the contain and copy it by a drag and drog. No. Vobcopy can copy a entire DVD like he is on the cd.
And another thing, have you just specified the input at Openshot for importing the datas. No ?
Perhaps, it's working.

Can you help with this problem?
