openshot: Depends: python-mlt but it is not installable

Asked by Ace

I get the following:

<code>
apt-get install openshotReading package lists... Done
Building dependency tree
Reading state information... Done
Some packages could not be installed. This may mean that you have
requested an impossible situation or if you are using the unstable
distribution that some required packages have not yet been created
or been moved out of Incoming.
The following information may help to resolve the situation:

The following packages have unmet dependencies:
  openshot: Depends: python-mlt but it is not installable
E: Broken packages
</code>

I'm running Ubuntu 9.10 on an Apple PowerMac G5
Any ideas?

We are still fixing our PPA for Ubuntu 9.10. I would suggest waiting until
we get it fixed, and then try again. I'll post an update to the website
soon once we've fixed it. Thanks!

This is also broken in 10.04, since Lucid has no python-mlt package.
Where is the PPA with this package?

This is also broken in 11.04 and requires python-mlt3, which depends on libmlt3, but openshot also depends on libmlt++3, which is incompatible with libmlt3

Sorry, not openshot, but python-mlt3 depends both on libmlt3 and libmlt++3, which delete each other
