Visualisation of audio track

Asked by Jenske

Is there a way to have the audio track visualised like a sonogram? This would allow me to look for the rhythm of the music (and hence allow me to have sound and video following the same beat). In KDEnlive it is possible to do this, but I'm not sure whether Openshot has this.

Not at the moment - we do not have this feature yet in Openshot - I can't say how soon it will be before we add this, we have got plenty of other things on the list to do :-)

Me too!
I would love to get this essential.
KDEnLive has it, but crashes all the time.

Open Shot is rock solid, but without the sonogram, how can you cut and keep the beat?

Just to mention, most of the cutting programs (below 1000$) do no appear to pay much attention to simplify switching wiews of a same scene between several cams, preserving the beat.

That is really a pity, it does not appear to be difficult, is it?

Please, please would you mind to hear our prayers?

Laszlo

Dear all,

I raise this subject, because I think that this function is very usefull. I lost lot of time, when I want to synchronise the song beat and my video rushes.
The preview video mode can be not relevant to do these sync (some freeze with video effect).

Please can you reconsider this feature for the 1.4.0?

Thank you very much

Nicolas.

It is planned but I can 't tell you if it will be included in the next version. Certainly, but the direction of this version is not yet defined although audio will be at the honour.
Thanks.
