Reverse the transision effect checkbox

Asked by Trevor

I like how easy it is to start creating my own transitions. Is it possible to give an option to reverse the transition effect from black to white white to black without having to create multiple transitions? Possibly provide a check box to invert the transition.

Hello Trevor,

The transitions you are referring to are lumas. So the direction of the transition is determined by the polarity of the luma image, and the direction of the luma set by right clicking on the transition on the timeline.

When you have placed the transition luma on the timeline between two clips, and adjusted its length to fit, then right click on the transition on the timeline and you will be presented with an option to reverse the direction of the luma effect.

Best wishes, Helen
