OpenShot Video Editor

No special effects are available

Hi there,
The install on my Hardy 8.04 appeared to go well.

However, when I start up OpenShot, there are no 'effects' in the effects menu.

Can someone please provide assistance as to how I trouble shoot and/or resolve this?

My apologies. I just realised someone else has listed this problem.

I understand the beta version should resolve this. Is there any idea of a timeline regarding the release of a beta? (I know you're working very hard on this - and I must say your efforts are very impressive - so my question is purely one of immense interest :))

Hello Patrick,

The effects library will be released soon. First we are concentrating on getting good quality .deb packages built and released. Jonathan has already done a lot of work on the effects library.

TJ from Ubuntu has now joined the team, and is working on the packaging, so things should start moving fairly soon.
