The Build Wisard don't ask to the user if he's using an alpha/beta of ubuntu

Asked by qwerty800

Personally, I'm under Karmic alpha3 and I say I'm under Jaunty.
But still, I was thinking that it could be causing some incompatibility issues...

After all, if there's enough difference between intrepid and jaunty to put two separate choices, there surely is for Karmic, Right?

Hello qwerty800,

I have converted this bug report to a question, because it doesn't report a bug, and you only make a comment.

The build wizard is deliberately not targeted at an unstable version of Ubuntu.

If you check Jonathan's blog on http://www.openshotvideo.com you will find we now also have some .deb packages for testing out.

I will add though that these packages have not been tested on Karmic yet.

Hello qwerty800,

May I ask you to use the "Answers" section of Launchpad to make comments, instead of using the bug-tracker.

If you use the bug-tracker to make your comments, it involves me in extra work on bug management to sort it all out. Whereas this does wonders for my Karma, I would rather be doing more useful things.

So please use the "Answers" section in future, and please use the "Solved" button when a question has been answered.

Many thanks, Helen McCall
