trim instead of resize?

Asked by reinhard

Hi,

most video editor software I know about use the term 'Trim' when changing the length of clips.

So I would suggest to change eg. 'Resize Tool' to 'Trim Tool'...

This also would make the german translation of that string a bit easier ;)

greetings
reinhard

I'm open to renaming it. I was trying to keep it simple for new users. But who knows... maybe trim makes more sense. Anyone else want to jump in on this?

I would agree that 'Trim' is the more widely used term, some users might think 'resize' means to change the width/height of the video.

Good point. 'Resize' is a terrible name. =) Whoever thought that up? I'll make the change to 'trim' soon. Thanks!
