Interesting feature from double clicking clip on timeline

Asked by Helen McCall

Hello Jonathan,

The feature you designed for previewing imported clips in the Project Files tab is very good, and using double clicking on the clip in the Project Files tab is a nice quick and simple way of previewing.

However I have discovered that if you double click (left mouse button) on the clips on the timeline, it causes the unmodified parent clip in the Project Files tab to play instead, without moving the timeline curser.

I don't knbow whether this was intentional or not. It is actually a rather useful feature if you want to quickly check what the clip looked like before you made changes in the clip porperties, and without affecting the position of the curser - very good feature.

I am just checking here to see if it is an intentional feature likely to remain in OpenShot, before I commit to writing it into the Help Manual.

Yes, that was an intentional feature. =) It sounded useful when I was implementing the preview feature. Thanks.
