Just a information.
When i do a double click on video or jpeg (in the project files or in the timeline) , this one is visible in the preview windows.
But the preview stay black with the sound when i move the cursor of the timeline or when i play the timeline with the play button in the preview windows.

Interesting... it sounds like MLT and FFmpeg are installed correctly, If the preview (i.e. double clicking a file) plays the video and audio. Sorry if this is a dumb question, but did you drag and drop your file (from the project tree) onto your timeline? Does a clip appear on the timeline? Have you tried a few different types of videos (or even images)?

Thanks,
-Jonathan

After one other test i have an important information about this problem.
This problem disappear if the video is paste on the timeline after a number of minutes.
This time is function of total duration of the timeline.
example: total time = 20 minutes it's ok after the tenth minutes.
it's not a law, but visibly it's ok after the middle of total time in the timeline.

P.S: The effect of translations are not visible on preview, but it's probably another problem.

Wow, what a strange problem. I have not seen this before. There will soon be a new version of the build wizard, and some .DEB installers available soon. Hopefully this will fix it for you. In the next few days, check back on the blog: www.OpenShotVideo.com. I will be posting an article about the new .DEB installers. Thanks!
