I wish to install an English language version but it automatically chooses my OS version which is in Spanish

Asked by Stephen Brown

I downloaded version 2.5.1, installed, switched the installer to English, opened the app and found everything in Spanish.
I uninstalled it, switched my VPN to USA and reinstalled it again - the same.
I uninstalled it, downloaded again with my VPN (looks like the exact same installer), installed and opened. Still in Spanish.

My OS is in Spanish and I can't change that, But I have many other apps all in English.

The interface language will follow the system by default, but there's a language selection dropbox on the first tab in the Preferences window that will let you select any language available. That SHOULD include English, although there's no actual translation file.

Thanks. YES! This did help to solve the problem.

However, the answer could be improved to specify in the SECOND TAB - the pull down EDIT menu in the preferences section.

The program could be improved by placing an ENGLISH listing in alphabetical order of E and not just under British or Canadian English, but rather ENGLISH (British) and ENGLISH (Canadian)-

Thanks

It seems like you're encountering language localization issues with the app despite various attempts to resolve it, including changing the installer language and using a VPN. Since your OS is in Spanish and cannot be changed, consider reaching out to the app's support team for guidance on resolving this language mismatch. It's frustrating when technical hiccups disrupt user experience, echoing challenges faced by individuals needing language-specific support, like SASSA beneficiaries seeking assistance tailored to their needs.
